A Political Chronology of Central, South and East Asia is the second volume in a new six-volume regional series from Europa. These new works provide an impartial record of the political events that have helped to shape the historical development of each of the world's nations. Each volume in the series includes: a separate chapter for each country in the region;chronological listings of major events from the birth of the nation to the most recent history;economic, social and cultural developments which have affected the political history of a country;major events charted include elections, wars, border disputes, invasions, assassinations, formation of leading parties, treaties, constitutional changes;and special emphasis is placed on contemporary affairs, particularly in nations that have undergone expensive political upheaval.
