The High-Level Panel of Eminent African Experts on the Review of AU Governance, Peace and Security Frameworks undertook a Review of the Frameworks in Nairobi, Kenya, from 1 to 5 September 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya. Mandated by the Assembly of Heads of State and Government at its 38th Ordinary Session in February 2025, Assembly/AU/Dec. 903-941(XXXVIII), the review aimed to critically examine and recalibrate AU’s key continental frameworks in governance, peace, and security, ensuring their continued relevance in line with Agenda 2063 Aspirations 3, 4, and 7.
