Strengthening ethical political leadership for sustainable peace and social justice in Africa: Uganda as a case study
This article analyzes ethical political leadership in Africa and proposes a framework for how it can be strengthened through Ubuntu ethics and the involvement of local, national and international actors. In particular, it 1) contextualizes and conceptualizes the leadership crisis in Africa, with emphasis on Uganda; 2) examines the relationship between leadership transformation and peace on the continent; and 3) lays out its model, involving Ubuntu ethics, which the author believes can strengthen political leadership.
