The African Union Peace Support Operations Division has successfully concluded a series of bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) negotiations with key Troop and Police Contributing Countries (TCCs/PCCs) as part of the operationalization of the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).
Held from 10th to 19th June 2025, the negotiations brought together representatives from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Republic of Djibouti, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Sierra Leone, and the Republic of Uganda. These countries are set to play a crucial role in the mission’s operational and security framework through their personnel and strategic support.
