Arrival Declaration: African Union Election Observation Mission Arrives in Cameroon for the 12 October 2025 Presidential Elections

The African Union Commission (AUC) announces the arrival of its Election Observation Mission (AU EOM) in the Republic of Cameroon on 7 October 2025. The Mission’s objective is to observe the final days of the election campaign, the electoral operations on polling day including the opening of polling stations, the conduct of voting, as well as the closing and counting of votes. The Mission will conclude its work on 16 October 2025, the date of its departure from Cameroon.
