This study engaged in a cross- sectional and correlational design using evidence from 231 SME exporters in Uganda. The data gathered were analysed through SPSS and AMOS. Results show that technology orientation predicts export performance and is moderated by knowledge absorptive capacity. This study enhances the understanding of organisational strategy by confirming scale reliability and factor structure while emphasising the significance of technological orientation for improving export performance. Furthermore, it contributes to deepening the validity of RBV and DC theories.
