Abstract:
This paper analyses South Africa’s land reform policies post-1994 against the backdrop of the apartheid government’s manoeuvres through the repeal of the notorious Land Acts in 1991. The paper concludes that the democratic government could have avoided the challenges of ineffective land reform by taking into consideration land dispossession prior to 1913.
