Suppliers to multinationals : Linkage programs to strengthen local companies in developing countries
The Foreign Investment Advisory Service (FIAS), a joint facility of the international Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank, was established to help governments of developing member countries to review and adjust policies, institutions, and programs that affect foreign direct investment. The ultimate purpose of FIAS is to assist member governments in attracting beneficial foreign private capital, technology, and managerial expertise. FIAS Occasional Papers report the results of research on practical issues which the staff of FIAS identify in the course of their work. The research has either been carried out or sponsored by FIAS. The Papers will be issued as research findings become available.
