Abstract:
The overturning of Kenya's July 2017 election results by the country's Supreme Court on 1 September 2017 was an historic event which challenged the ability of ruling parties to manipulate voting outcomes in their favour. A review of the way African elections are run is a likely outcome, lessening chances for politically-motivated violence.
