The Blood and Family Relations Between Africans and Europeans in the United States
This paper is divided into three parts. The first part presents evidence showing people of Sub-Saharan African and European descent residing together in the United States and their combined numbers or percentages relative to other racial groups. The second part presents data showing how black/white interracial romantic relationships throughout the country’s history have resulted to a situation where one could venture to suggest that just as most African Americans are related to Europeans in Europe by blood or family through whites in the U.S., so also are White Americans related by blood and family ties to West and Central Africans in Africa through blacks in the United States. Part three examines the unique situation in which blacks and whites mirror each other in parallel ways, just as the people of the U.S. mirror the world racially/ethnically by being the only country in the world with almost every ethnic and racial group on planet Earth that is either significantly or substantially represented in the country. To put it differently, racially and ethnically, the U.S. is the world as the world is the United States—the first true ‘Universal Nation’ in the world.
