Building high performance teams
A high performance team offers good, long-term benefits to the organization willing to invest work, time and money in its creation. These rapid deployment teams are likely to be set up for a single task: problem solving, process improvement, new product and new process development. When the task is completed, the team, may have its assignment extended, be asked to tackle a less challenge, or be disbanded and members redeployed where they can use their talents on new projects. The creation and rapid deployment of teams for specific assignments is the subject of this book, which also covers elements of project management. It sets out the stages of team development: forming groups;storming ;norming ;performing and takes the reader through the recruitment, leadership, training and monitoring step by step.
