Abstract:

In this paper I shall outline the problems we are addressing in urban regeneration in the U.K., and the fundamental trends which give rise to these problems. Secondly I want briefly to review where I think we have got to in tackling these problems, the achievements we have to our credit and the failures. Then finally I shall consider the agenda for the future - what we must do if we are to tackle these problems successfully.
