Directory of social science Institutions in Africa South of the Sahara

This Directory haws been produced from the UNESCO DARE Data Bank of the Social and Human Sciences Documentation Centre, and is based on replies obtained from a widely distributed questionnaire. It contains a systematic updating of entries already includes in the Data Bank as well as new entries. There are national, regional and international social science research and advanced training institutions, professional societies and groups. A diskette version of this Directory has also been produced and is available for distribution. It may be used on IBM or compatible PCs with DOS 3.0 (at least). The principal objective of this Directory (and of the process of which it is a part) is to make the social science research and training capacities of the region better known, and to contribute to the promotion of national development, and to regional and international cooperation in this area.
