Abstract:

This textbook emphasizes the fact that education is a human right. As a result, educational institutions and services must be provided. In this connection, the state alone cannot finance education. Therefore, educational financing is a partnership, which encompasses the state, parents and communities, and international financial organizations or external financing. The book is divided into four Chapters. The chapter 1 discusses public (state) financing of education. Chapter 2 deals with parental and community financing (private) of education. In Chapter 3, the external financing of education, which deals with international financial organizations, is education. Finally, chapter 4 examines financial management in education. The general issues of educational financing have been discussed, giving particular reference to developing countries. As a textbook, it is primarily intended for university and college students of education. In addition, professionals and practitioners in the Ministries of Education, and School Administrators will find it invaluable. Furthermore, it will be of value to all those concerned with education in relevant Government Ministries.
