Genocide on trial- Normative effects of the Rwanda tribunal's jurisprudence
This article discusses the possible limitations of the ICTR jurisprudence. It acknowledges the positive contribution of ICTR jurisprudence in the development of international criminal|and humanitarian law. Nevertheless, the article submits that where a judgement is arrived at by a majority of the bench, and there are persuasive dissenting opinions, national courts or international courts/tribunals should carefully reflect on it before adopting that decision or judgement
