Welcome to the African Union Library
The Library, as one of the leading sources of information and knowledge on Africa, vigorously works to meet information needs of its current and future clienteles; It possesses over 50 thousand volumes of books, and subscribes to about 150 print & digital journals; It also facilitates access to hundreds of thousands of electronic journal articles, book chapters, monographs, newspapers, etc., through direct subscriptions and/or in partnership with information & knowledge providers;
The Library also deployed the African Knowledge Sharing Platform (AKSP), https://akb.au.int, with objectives of: a). revamping visibility, access to and usages of African related publications on the Internet, b). aggregating various institutions’ publications for one-stop access, c). collecting and controlling African bibliographies, and d). developing and maintaining African local content and indigenous knowledge databases.
