An introduction to the rock art of the Malilangwe Conservation Trust, southeastern Zimbabwe

This report provides a brief introduction to the rock art of a little-known area: the Chiredzi District in the south east of Zimbabwe. It points to a number of unusual features of the rock art there and suggests some preliminary interpretations and directions for future study. Paintings of possible Iron Age authorship, finger dots and blown dots, depictions of bicephalic animals, elephants, giraffe and fly whisks are discussed.
