Africa must tell its story to the rest of the world. In this article, Tidiane Dioh explains how best information can be handled in a bid to influence the global agenda. At this time of war of information, Africa can hardly have its voice heard because of a lack of powerful media capable of disseminating relevant information about the continent. Its fragmented media landscape is a further hindrance at a time when the rest of the world seems to have opted to pull efforts together to constitute a strong force. In this context, the author predicts a likely decline of the African media for a few decades that might undermine the culture they are trying to sell.
