Mozambique's Cold Civil War - Regional Focus - Southern Africa

Unable to compromise or shed decades-old animosities toward each other, low-level hostilities continue between Frelimo -- the ruling party which won the civil-war -- and Renamo -- the opposition party that was defeated in the civil-war. The impasse is undermining Mozambique's economic revival and threatens to make some areas off-limits because of lawlessness.
