Organised crime in the SADC region : Police perceptions
Organised crime in the SADC region : Police perceptions
This monograph is based on a survey on organised crime completed with the assistance of nine national police agencies in the Southern African region. It forms part of a two-year project to study the nature and extent of organised crime in the SADC region. The survey elicited information about the personnel strength of police agencies, definitions of organised crime, specialised police units that are deployed, the scope and threat of organised crime in the region, and the needs of police agencies relating to legislation, international assistance and regional cooperation.
