"From a Place of Misery to a Place of Deeper Misery": Development, Authority, and Conflict in the Mwesi Highlands Rwandan Refugee Settlement
The article explores on the hunger strike of the Rwandan refugees, held at Dabalo settlement in Tanzania. It examines the threat of the resettlement on the agricultural viability of the highlands. It also notes that the refugees were sentenced to forced labor that came to undermine humanitarian principles.
