The three South Africa-based editors wrote the introduction to the current volume which consists of two main parts, Section A entitled Poverty Alleviation Pathways through Nutrition and Food (6 chapters) and Section B entitled Poverty Alleviation Pathways through Renewable Energy (4 chapters) and a concluding chapter (Chapter 12). In addition, the volume has a foreword, acknowledgments, notes on the editors and the contributors (from various African countries such as South Africa, Lesotho, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Mozambique) as well as a list of abbreviations and acronyms. All these features render the volume user-friendly.
