Abstract:

Without peace, it is difficult for a country to witness economic development, as peace is the panacea for growth and development. Every nation strives to achieve a high level of peace and development by safeguarding its country from both internal and external attacks. The paper discusses the use of satellites as a tool for safeguarding a country from both internal and external forces in order to achieve peace and economic development. The paper uses Systematic review as a method to scoop up literature on related articles related to peace, development, war, and satellites in orbit. The paper discusses the use of satellites for counterterrorism, countering illegal mining and drilling, monitoring mineral exploration, and as a tool for air defence and early warning systems. The paper concludes with a recommendation on the acquisition, maintenance, and use of satellites for the economic development of a nation.
