Shared Master Data Management with SAP Access Control and SAP Process Control

SAP Access Control and SAP Process Control have common master data elements that are consumed by both applications. Jitan Batra explains how the architectural shift back to ABAP for SAP Access Control 10.0 not only allows SAP Access Control and SAP Process Control to coexist in the same system, but also allows sharing of common master data elements to produce a much more tightly integrated solution. The architectural change to ABAP as a technology for SAP Access Control 10.0 from SAP Access Control 5.3 allows the coexistence of SAP Access Control 10.0 and SAP Process Control 10.0 in the same system. SAP Access Control, SAP Process Control, and Risk Management are contained in one ABAP add-on called GRCFND_A. HR-relevant functions for SAP Access Control (formerly HR RTA) and SAP Process Control-related functions are contained in the plug-in add-on GRCPIERP. Non-HR functions are contained in GRCPINW.
