Social Protection, Labour Markets and the Economic Reconfiguration of Post-Conflict Northern Uganda
Although there have been several social protection programmes aimed at reducing vulnerability in Northern Uganda, there has been a limited focus on employment and labour markets despite their relevance in peace building processes. With specific reference to this part of Uganda that has been ravaged by war for over two decades, this article seeks to analyse the policies and instruments of reintegration in a post-conflict situation in relation to reducing marginalisation and fostering the economic reconfiguration of the region into the country\'s wider political economy in the medium and long term.
