Abstract:
In this article, I attempt to explore the representation of war in Andree Chedid's prose-fiction as well as analysing the narrative of identity formation she inscribes in her novels and which is indelibly linked to her evocation/vision of peace. I further examine the place that hope occupies in these narratives set in the dark zone of violence. Language choice is also discussed.
