Human capital and economic growth: theory and quantification

Human capital has recently received a lot of attention in both the academic world and policy making. In fact, it is increasingly seen as a crucial driver of economic growth. Accordingly, the literature has become quite large and complex over the last years. Therefore, in this paper we provide a concise literature overview on the relationship between human capital and economic growth. More specifically, we consider both the theory and the quantification of the human capital-economic growth nexus.
