Biological substances : International standards and reference reagents
Biological substances : International standards and reference reagents
International Biological Standards and International Biological Reference Reagents provide a means of ensuring uniformity throughout the world in the designation of the potency or activity of preparations used in the prophylaxis, therapy, or diagnosis of disease, where this cannot be expressed in terms of physical or chemical quantities. The list of standards and preparations is brought up to date every few years. This latest revision incorporates all changes made since 1984, including those contained in the thirty-fifth and thirty-sixth reports of the WHO Expert Committee on Biological Standardization.
